Welcome to the GPT team at LivePerson! We are a team of more than 500 people located across more than 18 countries in (EMEA, APAC, NA). As the SRE Director, you will lead the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of LivePerson’s global cloud infrastructure reliability and performance — with a primary focus on driving cloud migration and next-gen platform architecture. You’ll report directly to SVP-level leadership and work closely with engineering, product, and security teams across geographies.
As Director of DevOps Engineering, you will lead and scale multiple global DevOps teams that support our critical infrastructure and platform services. These include:
- Kubernetes Platform Engineering — maintaining and evolving our GKE-based environments.
- CI/CD Tooling and Automation — enabling streamlined, secure software delivery pipelines.
- Harbor and Container Registry Operations — managing container image security and lifecycle.
- DevOps Core Services — providing foundational services for monitoring, logging, incident response, and platform reliability.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to (your tasks):
- Lead and scale a high-performing SRE team supporting LivePerson’s Cloud Migration & Architecture initiatives (GCP/AWS).
- Partner with Product, Platform, and Security Engineering to ensure resilience, scalability, and observability are built into every layer of the stack.
- Design and implement SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets aligned with business priorities and platform KPIs.
- Own the incident response lifecycle: detection, response, root cause analysis, and continuous learning.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD tooling, and automated runbooks for cloud-native operations.
- Drive adoption of modern reliability practices such as chaos engineering, canary deployments, progressive rollouts, and zero-downtime migrations.
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and GitOps best practices.
- Contribute to cloud modernization strategy by identifying opportunities to retire technical debt and legacy services.
- Mentor, coach, and grow a team of talented SREs and cloud engineers in a hybrid/remote environment.
Here are some of the things you'll bring (requirements):
- 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles, including 4+ years in leadership.
- Proven success leading multiple DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering teams during cloud migration or platform modernization efforts.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS a plus), Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus/Grafana, and CI/CD tooling (e.g., ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins), including pipeline architecture and governance.
- Working knowledge of scripting or programming (Python, Go preferred).
- Hands-on experience with production incident management at scale.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, performance engineering, and modern monitoring practices.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience building high-trust, high-autonomy engineering cultures.
- A strong sense of quality, personal responsibility, and a passion for development.
