Join Erie Home's Data Science team to drive transformation! As a strategic partner, you'll apply advanced analytics to solve critical business problems, working with decision-makers to inform strategies and quantify impact through predictive models and experiments. Ideal for a data scientist passionate about shaping company performance with data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Own the development of predictive models across the machine learning life cycle (including training, validation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance) to improve customer experience, increase revenue generation, boost media efficiency, and other priority business outcomes.
- Orchestrate and advance A/B testing framework and conduct experiments to evaluate the impact of strategic initiatives across departments.
- Partner with stakeholders across business units to frame problems, source and analyze data, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate new structured and unstructured data sources and assess their quality, relevance, and integration potential for analytics use cases.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to ensure alignment between advanced analytics insights and enterprise reporting systems.
- Foster and deepen the culture of data-driven decision making across the organization.
- Conduct exploratory and ad hoc analyses to support evolving business needs and strategic questions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in data mining, predictive modeling development and interpretation in a business context.
- Experience with experimental design and hypothesis testing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other applicable programming languages
- Preferred experience in report building with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and a high aptitude for problem solving.
Work Environment:
- Onsite at our Corporate HQ in Toledo, Ohio
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hybrid schedule, 2 days a week
