Your team

You’ll be working for our Model Risk Management and Control (MRMC) US team in Krakow. Working together with our colleagues of the US-based MRMC US team, it is our role to independently review and challenge models developed by the business to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet all regulatory requirements.
In our Internship Program, you will have a chance to participate in the automation and digitalization of the financial industry, implementing automation processes, and understanding regulatory requirements for model risk management. This is an ideal way to gain the practical work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of our sharpest minds in risk control. Your paid internship will last 6 months with the possibility of extension, based on a 40-hour week.
As a Junior Internship Assistant in Model Risk Cross-Oversight, you will support the quality and consistency of model validation reports. You will use advanced tools and methodologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), and contribute to technical and documentation tasks. This role is for a motivated junior with strong foundational skills and a passion for learning, ready to take on challenging assignments and grow rapidly. Additionally, you will be involved in tracking team work progress and reporting.

Your expertise

•bachelor's degree in a quantitative area (financial mathematics, statistics, econometrics, physics, applied mathematics, computer science, economics)
•knowledge of basic statistical concepts, especially linear statistics.
•interest in financial markets (experience is a plus).
•a can-do attitude to solve problems as part of an international team.
•motivated, self-directed, and creative.
•adaptable, able to work across teams, functions, and cultures.
•proficient in English, both spoken and written.
•naturally curious, detail-oriented, and enjoy solving problems.
•working knowledge of python.
•excited by LLMs and eager to learn their real-world applications.
•basic understanding of version management (Git/GitLab).
•strong communication skills, attentive to technical document quality.
•enthusiastic about learning new tools and techniques.
•enjoy collaborating and sharing ideas.
•comfortable handling significant documentation.
Your Responsibilities:
•regularly read and check model validation reports for accuracy and clarity.
•assist in drafting and revising technical documentation.
•experiment with LLM tools for report review and automation.
•work with developers and validators to understand advanced workflows.
•use GitLab to manage and track changes to documents and scripts.
•take initiative on small automation or process improvement projects.
•participate in learning opportunities and seek support for advanced assignments.
•this role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation and a passion for technology, ready to stretch their skills and make a meaningful impact in a high-performing team.
