You will enjoy end-to-end ownership of projects working closely with multiple teams and stakeholders to define solutions supporting the lodging business planning and growth. From problem framing to data pulling/wrangling, model structuring, analysis and visualization building, and insights sharing with stakeholders, you will develop strategic recommendations to enhance EG’s travelers experience and hotel partners performance. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, establish priorities, leverage technical capabilities to drive business impact, maintain relationships with senior leadership, and own deliverables end to end. If you are self-driven, curious, and have demonstrated success in using data analysis to drive innovation and business growth, this position is for you!

Problem Framing & Solving
You will frame business challenges as an analytical problem and a concrete set of analytical tasks.
You will assess and evaluate the use of various methods when trying to solve a problem considering the underlying assumptions.
You will Pick analytically valid approaches, appropriate in terms of level of effort, favoring iterative delivery that solves for the objective, not the ask
Data & Visualization
You will extract data from multiple data sources and combine them into the required datasets for model building or analytics.
You will build simple and powerful data visualizations providing actionable insights to your stakeholders.
You will stay updated on the latest problem-solving methodologies and technologies and adapt them to your projects’ requirements.
Communication & Influence
You will communicate across various levels of the organization, technical and non-technical, tailoring your messaging to each audience.
You will establish trust and a collaborative working relationship with stakeholders across all areas of the business including competitive intelligence, pricing, and finance.
You will clearly and confidently articulate decision-making rationale, solutions, methodologies, and frameworks to team members and both technical and non-technical partners.
You will share your expertise, learnings, and data with the wider analytics community.
Experience and qualifications:
You have 4+ years of experience in a data environment and have an academic background in a quantitative discipline.
You display strong business acumen and critical reasoning skills.
You are familiar with data extraction, data modeling, data wrangling and visualization tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Tableau, Python, R, etc.).
You have a passion for driving business impact by leveraging data.
You are self-motivated with a positive and can-do attitude, and the ability to drive success with limited guidance in a highly autonomous role.
You have strong organizational skills, with the ability to implement and optimize project framework, plans and work processes in partnership with cross functional project teams.
You know how to manage and nurture relationships: mobilize, influence, and lead others without having positional authority, by interacting and building rapport with teams of all levels, in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
You are a team player, building a climate of inclusion to bring a diverse set of perspectives to the team and solutions.
You are passionate about logical problem solving and intellectual challenges, with the ability to see the bigger picture whilst not missing the details.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
