Data Quality Issue Manager
The Position We’re looking for the right candidate to help elevate our Data Quality issue management ability to help our consumers find global solutions to the data problems that impact their business objectives.
Summary of the role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Quality Issue Manager to join our dynamic Data Quality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for locating, analysing, and resolving data quality issues across the organization. This role requires a proactive individual with strong relationship skills and a deep understanding of data governance and quality management principles.
· Responsibilities Locate and Analyse Data Quality Issues: Proactively identify data quality issues through consumer engagement, data profiling, monitoring, and analysis.
· Utilize tools and techniques to assess the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data.
· Develop and Implement Data Quality Solutions: Design and implement data quality improvement plans and remediation strategies. Collaborate with data stewards, data sources and IT teams to ensure data quality standards are met.
· Monitor Data Quality Metrics: Establish and monitor key data quality issue metrics. Provide regular reports and dashboards to stakeholders, highlighting data quality trends and areas for improvement.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with data sources, business units, data stewards, and IT teams to understand data quality requirements and address data quality issues. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote data quality awareness.
· Data Governance: Support the implementation of data governance frameworks and policies. Ensure compliance with data governance standards and best practices.
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data quality issues, remediation plans, and outcomes. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements • Experience of working in a Data Quality role in the Financial Services sector, ideally resolving data quality issues • Solid understanding of current IT Security standards (e.g. ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI, UKGC, Data Protection) • Strong communication skills with both business and technical partners • Strong problem solving skills • Advanced user, certified in Data Quality focused software (e.g. Collibra DQ,
Informatica)
