Position Details
Join our dynamic AI product team to design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models and solutions that drive marketing and advertising innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, engineers, and product managers to deliver impactful AI products.
Job Level
Mid to Senior (at least 5 years of experience)
Objectives
- Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to develop an understanding of needs.
- Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis.
- Communicate findings to all stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Enable smarter business processes by using analytics to generate meaningful insights.
- Keep current with technical and industry developments to maintain cutting-edge expertise.
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead data strategist to identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities, and work closely with the engineering team in the development of data products.
- Execute analytical experiments to help solve problems across various domains and industries.
- Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for client business needs, and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables.
- Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big-data stores; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
- Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind.
- Implement analytical models in production by collaborating with product managers, software developers and machine-learning engineers.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Marketing/Ad Industry Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist.
- Preferably with experience in creating machine learning solutions specifically for marketing and advertising domains.
- Broad knowledge and experience with a wide range of machine learning models. Deep expertise in areas such as reinforcement learning, large language models (LLM), natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision is highly preferred.
- Experience in implementing Generative AI (GenAI) products is a significant plus.
Fundamental Business Skills
- Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related fields. A Product Management (PDM) certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
- Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling.
- Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, and programming languages such as Java, Python, SAS.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and demonstrate mature working habits and professional attitude.
- Experience deploying data science solutions in production environments is preferred. Advanced engineering skills are a strong advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, agile, product-oriented group managing multiple concurrent projects.
Language
- Fluent English communication skills (both written and spoken) are required as the team operates in English.
- Japanese language skills are not required but are considered a great plus.
