Who We Are:

At PalUp, we are redefining the boundaries of AI with Human-AI, designed to replicate human-like qualities for truly dynamic interactions. Unlike how AI is often thought of—cold, and impersonal—our PalUp Pals with Human-AI integrates advanced capabilities like speech, vision, personality, and memory to deliver experiences that’s not only immersive but uniquely tailored to each individual.

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team—someone who can architect clean, reliable data infrastructure that empowers everyone from GTM teams to executive leadership. You’ll build the backbone for analytics, help transform raw interaction and product telemetry into actionable insights, and enable faster, smarter decisions across the company.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Own and optimize end-to-end data pipelines that feed dashboards, product metrics, and strategic reporting

  2. Build and maintain data models (e.g., star/snowflake schemas) in our warehouse to support self-service analytics

  3. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to understand business needs and translate them into scalable data solutions

  4. Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes using tools like dbt, Airflow, or similar

  5. Ensure data integrity, governance, and security across all BI systems

  6. Define and implement metrics that measure user engagement and business value, especially for AI-driven features

  7. Analyze product and user data to identify trends and report key insights to executives.

Who You Are

  1. 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar roles

  2. Advanced SQL skills and experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)

  3. Experience with Python for scripting and data transformation

  4. Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, Excel) and supporting BI team with clean, well-modeled datasets

  5. Strong understanding of data modeling principles, data quality assurance, and data governance best practices

  6. Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity startup environment

Nice If You Have:

  1. Experience working with AI agent or LLM-driven products and their telemetry data

  2. Familiarity with operational metrics (LTV, CAC, conversion funnels) for SaaS or AI-native products

  3. Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English
