Technical Data Analyst

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 / year

As a Technical Data Analyst you will be responsible for the ongoing support for our BI & Analytics platform, Arkalytics. This position will play a crucial role on our Product  team in building scalable solutions within the Arkalytics platform. The ideal candidate for this position is a strong problem solver who can troubleshoot independently, but also a team player who can grow into a subject matter expert within the Product team.  This role will occasionally interface with clients and  requires a candidate with strong communication and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete accountability of all assigned tickets to meet sprint goals and team deliverables. 
  • Troubleshoot incidents and problem tickets to identify the root cause of the issues quickly and develop a resolution while following all change management procedures
  • Requirement gathering for Data pipeline integration (ELT) development
  • Requirement gathering for Data mapping (business logic)
  • Develop, review and test code (SQL, Python, BI tool like Tableau and PowerBI)
  • Maintain an active communication with the internal Arkatechture team and occasionally clients
  • Work closely with the team to identify process improvements within the Product team
  • Escalate risks and issues on time
  • Testing using SQL and providing documented sign off
  • Documentation of processes and workflows
  • Facilitate requirements sessions, user training and other client meetings
  • Report work status to team leaders and participate actively in daily standups
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Requirements 
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or 5-8 years of experience in a similar role
  • Expert in Python and SQL 
  • Strong experience working in any one Database such as Snowflake, Databricks, SQLServer, Oracle etc
  • Experience working with visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Experience in Data Warehousing and BI projects
  • Experience with AWS
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, learner and driven with a positive attitude
  • A strong written and verbal communicator with experience interacting with internal teams and clients
  • A desire to completely understand the product and become a subject matter expert as it is necessary in order to properly construct the platform
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • A strong understanding of Agile software development life cycle and methodologies
  • Proven success driving projects by asking questions, understanding business requirements and translating them into tangible development tasks
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working on a Product team
  • Experience working with financial institutions such as Credit unions, Banks
