Why Hover wants you
At Hover, we’re transforming everyday photos and videos into high-fidelity, spatially accurate 3D property data. Our mission is to automate this process by blending state-of-the-art AI with expert human input to create precise digital twins of real-world spaces. As we scale, we're seeking a Process Engineer to help evolve our hybrid 3D reconstruction system into a robust, automation-first platform.
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of designing and optimizing workflows that balance machine intelligence with human expertise. Working closely with computer vision researchers, operations specialists, and software engineers, you’ll lead efforts to increase automation, enhance efficiency, and maintain our industry-leading accuracy and quality.
You will contribute by
- Analyze and map our existing 3D reconstruction workflows to identify high-impact opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Design scalable processes that integrate AI-driven techniques (e.g., photogrammetry, depth estimation) with targeted human intervention.
- Create performance metrics and closed-loop feedback systems to monitor automation accuracy and reduce manual correction efforts.
- Run A/B tests and pilot initiatives to evaluate improvements in speed, cost-efficiency, and quality.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to deploy automation enhancements in live production environments.
- Lead change management efforts, including documentation, training, and stakeholder alignment as automation is rolled out.
Your background includes
- 4+ years of experience in process engineering, production systems, mapping, or automation.
- Hands-on experience with human-in-the-loop systems, manufacturing optimization, or digital production pipelines.
- Familiarity with 3D reconstruction, photogrammetry, mapping tools, or related computer vision technologies—bonus if you've worked with digital twins or 3D gaming/design/art platforms.
- A systems thinker who can zoom out to architect workflows and zoom in to resolve edge-case bottlenecks.
- Comfortable collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to design and implement process improvements.
- Pragmatic and iterative in your approach—you favor small, fast wins that drive measurable progress.
- Thrive in early-stage, ambiguous, or rapidly scaling environments.
- Exposure to Python, automation scripting, or workflow orchestration tools is a plus.
Benefits
- Compensation - Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a fast-growing company
- Healthcare - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents
- Paid Time Off - Unlimited and flexible vacation policy
- Paid Family Leave - We support work/life balance and offer generous paid parental and new child bonding leave
