Data Analyst (Transport) Mr Price Logistics

Mr Price Logistics has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Data Analyst to be based at the Hammarsdale Distribution Centre. The aim of the role is to create visibility, make sense of business data and provide recommendations to enable relevant stakeholders to make informed decisions through identification of various facts and trends.

• Gather business intelligence from various sources to support logistics operations.
• Resolve discrepancies by examining and investigating out-of-SLA transactions, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve and improve SLA metrics.
• Compile, verify, and report statistical information regarding SLA management trends to support actionable recommendations.
• Conduct reviews and investigations of 'Out of SLA' transactions between the Group ERP, warehouse management systems, and courier partner management systems to ensure transaction accuracy and provide real-time data.
• Optimise overall SLA adherence accuracy with the courier partner.
• Optimise overall transactional costs with the courier partner.
• Draft SLA management reports that document transactions, discrepancies, and other statistical data.
• Report SLA management statistics to management and suggest improvements to SLA management control.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure SLA management control practices are being followed and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support audits of transport policies, procedures, and financial processes.
• Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science required.
• 2 to 3 Years’ experience would be preferable.
• Preferred logistics analysis experience and understanding of value chain.
• Working knowledge and understanding of logistics and systems environment.
• Preferred experience with programming for data analysis.
• Firm understanding of statistics and databases.
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, WMS systems, ERP systems, and Tableau or similar technology-driven BI Tools).
