The Data Analytics Specialist – Performance Marketing (Web) plays a pivotal role in bridging digital analytics, data engineering, and business intelligence to drive data-informed decision-making for the M&DX portfolio. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimising web/mobile tracking, developing insightful dashboards, and ensuring accurate attribution modelling.
The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Marketing Analytics & Performance and has 1-2 direct reports.
Main responsibilities summary

Mentor junior analysts
-
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver web and mobile solutions

Design and optimise data pipelines and analytics infrastructure on Azure & Databricks

Own website performance reporting and tracking

Develop and maintain dashboards (Power BI, Adobe Analytics)

Analyse website performance and user behaviours for continuous improvement

Deliver prospective analytics using operational and statistical tools

Produce performance reporting and recommend process improvements

Implement and maintain web/mobile tagging (Adobe Launch)

Conduct SEO activities and propose changes as needed

Who You Are
We are looking for someone who is aligned with UNSW’s vision and values, who has great communication skills and comes equipped with:

Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with high proficiency in Python, SQL and good command of visualisation tools such as Power BI are essential

Hands-on experience with Databricks & cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS or GCP) is preferred
-
Solid understanding of SEO best practices, including keyword research, technical SEO, and performance measurement. Experience with SEMrush is a plus
-
Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and work autonomously, managing priorities in a dynamic environment

Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, including setting own workflow and priorities
Working hours are Monday to Friday, business hours. The role is based in Sydney – Kensington Campus and works in a hybrid way (1 to 2 days per week in the office – Tuesday is the core day).
