Your Role: Data Analyst - Pet Retail Dispensing & Inventory

As a Data Analyst, you will be part of the Pet Retail team to deliver sales of Elanco's products through retail channels. In this role, you'll be responsible for ingesting Pet Retail Dispensing sales and inventory data, defining, adhering to, and documenting processes for data analysis, mapping, integration, and quality assurance, and working with a high degree of autonomy under minimal supervision.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Oversee the entire data lifecycle, from downloading and processing weekly/monthly dispensing data to validating, loading it into Azure, troubleshooting issues, and performing regression analysis.
  • Alteryx Workflow Maintenance and Development: Maintain and update existing Alteryx intake formats for numerous customers, create new formats as needed, and design/implement recurring reports and data uploads for analysis.
  • Technical Collaboration and Requirements Gathering: Bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation by translating requirements for dispensing database updates and enhancements for technical teams.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Effectively communicate product master updates to relevant teams (IT and Category Shopper) and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely data submission.
  • Proactive Data Monitoring and Quality Assurance: Continuously monitor data integrity (especially PetSmart data), promptly escalate and resolve discrepancies, and maintain the Master X-Ref Source File for accurate product information in Salesforce.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma / GED with 5+ years of equivalent experience in data management.
  • Required Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in data management, including merging, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and experience using Microsoft.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Alteryx Certification (Designer Core, Advanced, Expert, Predictive Master, Machine Learning, and/or Auto Insights).
  • Familiarity with using APIs for automated data intake.
  • Proven ability to leverage internal and external relationships to achieve objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying patterns and missing data in complex datasets.
  • Self-motivation and resourcefulness in researching and implementing new processes for data validity and timeliness.

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $23,000 MXN to $26,000 MXN Gross depending partly on the successful candidate’s qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance). Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees that includes a company-matching 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above. Elanco reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate its compensation and benefit programs in its sole discretion, and Elanco’s compensation practices and guidelines will apply regarding the details of any promotion or transfer of Elanco employees.
