Director of AI Product Transformation

Overview

We are seeking a visionary Product Manager with experience in technology transformation within government to drive the evolution of our generative AI platform. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of public sector expertise, technical acumen, and business savvy to represent the Voice of Customer in our product development process. 

This role offers an opportunity to shape the future of AI in government while working with a dynamic team focused on building secure, trustworthy AI solutions that deliver measurable impact for federal agencies. 

Responsibilities

• Serve as the voice of the government customer, translating complex agency needs into product features and prioritization decisions 

• Develop and maintain product roadmaps that align with both market demands and our strategic vision 

• Build relationships with key stakeholders across federal agencies to deepen understanding of requirements and use cases 

• Lead cross-functional teams in developing and refining Franklin's AI capabilities 

• Communicate product value propositions to potential investors, partners, and government officials 

• Work with engineering, design, and business development teams to ensure product-market fit 

• Establish metrics and analytics frameworks to measure product success and ROI 

• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, market trends, and competitive landscape 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on technology products used by the government 

• Demonstrated ability to identify and prioritize customer needs in complex environments 

• Proven track record of successful product launches and iterations 

• Experience articulating product vision to diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences 

• Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and decision-making cycles 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate between government and technology contexts 

• Experience with agile development methodologies 

Preferred 

• Experience at 18F, USDS, or a large technology firm 

• Experience with AI/ML products or platforms 

• Background in presenting to or working with venture capital firms 

• History of driving adoption for innovative technologies within government 

• Understanding of government data security and compliance requirements
