AI Director

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the AI strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for AI to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI models and systems. Ensure the technical robustness, scalability, and security of AI solutions.• Align with vendors that can deliver results working with the Pitt Ohio cross function team• Build and manage a high-performing AI team, providing mentorship and guidance to team members. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.• Oversee AI projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions.• Communicate AI strategies and project progress to senior management and other stakeholders. Provide insights and recommendations based on data-driven analysis.• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and related technologies. Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the AI team.• Ensure that AI initiatives comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards. Promote responsible AI practices within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role and 3 years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data science. General understanding of IT process ITIL, PMO, SDLC, etc.• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java. Experience with AI/ML frameworks. Strong understanding of Microsoft cloud, data architecture and AI tools.• Demonstrated ability to align AI initiatives with business goals. Experience in developing and executing AI strategies that drive business value.• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven mindset. Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.• Passion for staying current with emerging AI technologies and trends. Ability to foster a culture of innovation within the team.
