SRE Manager - AML

Responsibilities

The mission of our AML team is to push the next-generation AI infrastructure and recommendation platform for the ads ranking, search ranking, live & ecom ranking in our company. We also drive substantial impact on core businesses of the company.

As the Global SRE Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence of distributed ML infrastructure, while also helping the team evolve in a high-growth environment. We are looking for someone who thrives on solving systemic problems, guiding teams through complex reliability challenges, and getting things done with strategic clarity.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of global SREs managing globally distributed AML systems.
- Drive technical execution in system reliability, resource optimization, and deployment automation across ML training and inference pipelines.
- Partner closely with local and global ML engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to deliver highly available, fault-tolerant ML infrastructure.
- Improve observability, reduce operational overhead through automation, and optimize infrastructure cost and efficiency at scale.
- Own incident management processes, postmortems, and continuous improvement across availability and performance.
- Provide technical guidance, career development, and day-to-day coaching for SRE team members.
- Communicate priorities, risks, and progress upward to leadership with transparency and clarity.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as a front-line engineering manager, ideally leading SRE or ML infrastructure teams.
- At least 5 years of hands-on SRE or systems engineering experience, including in distributed or large-scale production environments.
- Background in ML Infrastructure, recommendation systems, or high-scale data platforms.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, performance tuning, observability, and automation tooling.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, C++) and a solid foundation in algorithms and data structures.
- Proven track record in handling complex production issues, making effective technical trade-offs, and owning results.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with business-facing or product-aligned SRE teams, balancing reliability with delivery.
- Deep familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and infrastructure as code.
- Passion for building scalable systems and mentoring engineers to reach their potential.
- A personal leadership style that is execution-focused, upward-aligned, and solutions-oriented.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $435000 - $585000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).​
