The Data Analyst II is responsible for developing scalable business intelligence solutions, operational reporting, and predictive analytics that support strategic goals across Risk Management Products. In this role, the Analyst will serve as a Power BI citizen developer, automating manual reporting processes and enabling self-service analytics environments. A key focus will be partnering directly with ARM (Asset Recovery Management) and other product stakeholders to optimize reporting, identify performance trends, and drive continuous product improvement through data-driven insights. This role requires strong technical proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and statistical modeling tools, as well as the ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Statistical Modeling, Data Analysis, Report and Data Management (60%)

  • Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and semantic models to deliver key operational metrics.
  • Serve as citizen developer to streamline product reporting, automate manual processes, and enable self-service analytics environment.
  • Extract, transform and model large datasets using SQL and DAX to enable reporting solutions.
  • Utilize statistical modeling packages (R, R Shiny, Python) to design predictive models needed to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Validate and analyze large data sets to deliver insights designed to improve business strategy and control risk.
  • Extract and validate SQL queries generated from Allied’s core databases.
  • Transform quantitative and qualitative findings into insightful visuals.

Improve Efficiency and Processes (25%)

  • Collaborate with ARM business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored BI solutions that align with operational goals.
  • Design and implement data validation and quality controls needed for trusted datasets.
  • Proactively identify areas for operational efficiencies and collaborate with various business units to provide scalable solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Technology Group to improve data access frameworks, integrations and external data pipelines for Asset Recovery Management product.
  • Conduct periodic Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) to assess the financial impact of operational changes.
  • Support the organization’s Data Transformation Initiative.

Perform other duties as assigned (15%)

  • Concisely present findings to department and executive leadership to influence decision-making.
  • Lead data collection, transformation, and analysis efforts on RMO projects as needed.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Computer Science or related field required.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing PowerBI visuals.
  • 2+ years’ experience extracting, manipulation and analyzing large datsets.
  • 2+ years’ experience utilizing with SQL or other SAS languages to extract data out of relational databases.
  • Experience working with statistics packages such as R, Python is preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ work experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence Development, Financial Analysis or related fields.
  • 1+ years of relevant insurance of financial service experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suites.
