Position Summary

The Manager, Data Analytics at PGA TOUR Superstore will lead the Digital Analytics & Data Science Team, driving initiatives that inform Merchandising, Marketing, CRM/Loyalty programs, Strategy, and Ecommerce. The Manager will deliver the identification, measurement, and monitoring of key performance indicators, ensure the production of insightful visualizations of trends, and develop strategic, data-driven recommendations to enhance business understanding and customer engagement.

As the Manager, Data Analytics, you will be responsible for spearheading customer data initiatives that enhance business profitability, drive efficiencies, and elevate the customer experience. You will leverage advanced data science methods and algorithms to uncover trends and devise strategic business solutions. This role involves presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership and non-technical audiences, articulating the benefits and impacts of proposed solutions. Collaboration with business partners and cross-functional teams is essential, necessitating exceptional communication skills, relationship building, and a thorough understanding of the supported business areas.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Grow and Manage Analytics Team: Provide leadership and direction to the Online & Marketing Analytics team, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth and high performance.

  • Strategic Insight Generation: Develop and communicate strategic insights derived from customer data to inform stakeholders and drive business decisions.

  • Trend Analysis: Identify and interpret shopping behavior trends using comprehensive customer and transactional data.

  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Oversee the execution of ad hoc analyses to diagnose trends impacting business performance and customer experience.

  • Audience Segmentation: Develop and implement strategies for customer segmentation to optimize marketing contact strategies and improve media targeting.

  • Personalization Enablement: Deliver algorithms and customer features that drive personalized experiences through digital channels while measuring their effectiveness and looking for continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Customer Experience Management: Manage the customer experience program, developing and implementing strategies to gather and track customer feedback.

  • Digital Analytics: Harness website analytics to inform marketing strategies, identifying key trends and insights to enhance targeted marketing efforts and maximize ROI across digital channels.

  • Analytics Foundation: Build and maintain a robust analytics and insights foundation to support key marketing, merchandising, and business decisions.

  • Reporting and Dashboards: Establish and oversee the creation of reporting dashboards and data visualization tooling, providing actionable recommendations to business leaders regularly.

  • Data Utilization: Evaluate and leverage 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data for media targeting, dynamic creative optimization, and personalization.

  • Data Visualization: Produce and present clear, compelling visualizations of data and insights to inform strategic business decisions.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, business intelligence, or analytics or Masters in a quantitative field (Analytics, Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Math, Statistics, etc.).

  • Experience working directly with customer data and/or transactional data (Prior retail data science experience is preferred).

  • Expertise in analyzing large datasets using SQL.

  • Experience working in a cloud-based data warehouse (preferably Snowflake).

  • Experience in a modern scripting language (preferably Python).

  • Proficient with data visualization software (Power BI or Tableau preferred).

  • Ability to analyze and present complex data concepts to various levels within the organization.

  • Proficient utilizing statistical techniques to identify key insights that help solve business problems.

  • Experience with recommendation and search optimization concepts and techniques a plus.

  • Knowledgeable in Prescriptive Modeling like optimization, computer vision, recommendation, search, or NLP.

  • Experience designing A/B tests and conducting statistical evaluations of performance.

  • Excellent multi-tasking, project management, and prioritization skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional. 

  • Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.
