About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Junior Data Scientist to join our growing Data & Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in data science, a strong foundation in statistical modelling, and hands-on experience with SAS. Proficiency in Python and R is a plus, along with exposure to Big Data technologies and tools.

Are you someone who can:

• Assist in the development and deployment of predictive models using SAS and other statistical tools.
• Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Clean, transform, and validate data for analysis and modelling.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
• Support the implementation of machine learning models in production environments.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a data science or analytics role.
• Proficiency in SAS for data manipulation and modeling.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).
• Experience with Python and/or R for data analysis and visualization.
• Familiarity with SQL for querying relational databases.

Desirable Skills:

• Exposure to Big Data technologies such as:
  • Hadoop
  • Teradata
  • etc
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI would be an added advantage.
• Understanding of MLOps and model deployment practices.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
