Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong Business Analysis skills to join our team. This role is ideal for a technically skilled and business-oriented professional who can work closely with business stakeholders, analyze complex data landscapes, and contribute to high-impact data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and further development of the DMF core framework for automated data processing within the data lakehouse
• Support in creating technical designs for new features / functionalities
• Consulting & training of delivery teams on the use of this framework
• Ongoing maintenance & expansion of the automated test suite (pytest, cuallee, ...)
• Execution and evaluation of development tests and Further system testing
• Root cause analysis & bug fixing in case of errors / user support
• Identification and structured description of potential improvements in the framework

Qualifications

Knowledge and practical experience in:

• Agile software development processes and data management projects
• Experience working in agile software implementation team
• The ability to simply present, visualize, and communicate complex technical relationships
• Software Development Lifecycle / Release Processes
• Built-in Quality / Software Quality Assurance
• Databricks (including Unity Catalog) and Azure
• Data architecture, logical and technical
• Advanced knowledge of basic Data Vault concepts
• PySpark & ​​Pandas
• Object-oriented programming in Python
• Design & implementation of sustainable implementations according to software development best practices & standards
• SQL

Language Skills

• English mandatory & German nice to have

Additional Information

Travel is needed (availability on site 1-2 days every two weeks)
