The strategy and marketing group is looking for an experienced analyst to lead market analysis efforts aimed at driving strategy formulation, boosting business development efforts and identifying unique growth opportunities in a dynamic market.

We are looking for an experienced, ambitious, curious and insights-driven analyst, with a proven record of leading market analysis processes with senior managers, to take a key role in researching markets, formulating business plans, impacting strategy formulation and streamlining the dissemination of data to technological and business functions in the company.

We need someone with an ability to explore new domains with scarce data, carry out both quantitative and qualitative research efforts, work independently with multiple stakeholders and cover multiple disciplines (finances, policy, economics, customer preferences and technology).


What will you be doing?

  • Collecting and acquiring external market data in existing and new segments.
  • Leading – from planning to final delivery – market analysis on product segments and geographical markets including market size, prices, market trends, consumer preferences, competition, product use-cases and comparisons, regulatory frameworks and common business models.
  • Identifying market trends and executing subject-specific deep dives by fusing various information sources.
  • Engaging with analysts, customers and colleagues, deriving market-oriented and internal insights.
  • Visualizing and summarizing findings in compelling, management-oriented deliverables (reports, slides, dashboards)
  • Supporting the conversion of market research into business plans, product roadmaps and strategic recommendations with relevant stakeholders.
  • Presenting market research findings to senior management, product managers and business functions.
  • Defining and introducing new data, automations, dashboards and AI tools to the market research process – aimed at improving its efficiency, depth and impact.
  • Enriching marketing, product and sales external-facing deliverables with market insights.

Requirements

  • 5 years or more of experience in one of the following: market research, strategic or financial analysis, business intelligence or management consulting - a must
  • Experience in renewable energy and/or energy systems and technology – an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, business, economics, accounting or a related field – an advantage
  • Master’s degree, MBA and/or renewables-related academic degree – a strong advantage
  • MBA and/or renewables-related academic degree – a strong advantage
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex datasets and market information into clear, actionable business insights
  • Proven experience in primary and secondary research, including the use of various search engines, business research tools, analytics platforms, data modelling, competitive intelligence and deep web-based searches
  • Ability, and willingness, to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and team-oriented environment – demonstrating curiosity and a proactive approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to independently transform a business question into a market research process
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency – must
  • Experience in using BI tools for data visualization – Tableau, Power BI, QlikView or similar – strong advantage
  • Knowledge of big-data querying and data analysis capabilities (SQL, Python and/or other data programming skills) and statistical tools and packages (R, Stata, SPS) for market and sales forecasting - advantage
  • Experience in formulating business plans, including P&Ls and pricing - advantage
  • Background in energy markets and policies, economics, financial markets and supply chains – advantage
  • Hands-on experience in report writing and presentations design in fluent English
