Job Description:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business lines such as: Private Bank, Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, Risk, Compliance & Anti-financial Crime, Treasury, Non-Financial Risk, Credit Risk, IT Finance, Chief Security Office, Chief Technology Office, as well as Global Procurement and EMEA HR Services.

The Group Architecture team drives the development of a clear target state architecture for the organisation, together with the governance processes, supporting tools, standards and frameworks required to deliver this. This requires strong collaboration and buy-in across the Bank, working closely with federated business, infrastructure teams and CDIO.

As a Data Architect within Group Data Architecture team you will have 4 core facets to your role:

1.     will be responsible for designing and establishing data standards that ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across the bank. As well as the operating model including measures and governance of these standards.   This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to implement these standards and continuously improving the data architecture framework.

2.     You will also be involved in the maintenance and development of the architecture principles to guide solution design, development of the target technology estate to align with the organization’s strategies, this role acts as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, helping to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

3.     Data modelling is a key aspect of your weekly work  - You will become an SME in one or more business areas and will support the development of standardized data models for use within the bank. Supporting teams extending these models or mapping to them to comply with regulatory requirements

4.     Providing solutions to architectural themes and issues as they arise, this can be driving from publication teams, to regulatory to technology innovations  

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, data governance, and a passion for setting high standards in data management.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture Standards - develop and implement architecture standards that build on the existing  frameworks and processes. Ensure each standard is measurable, operational and where possible automated. Monitor and report on any data metrics and KPIs.
  • Programme/SME Support collaborate with programme sponsors, managers and architects to ensure architectural integrity and alignment.
  • Communication serves as a strong, decisive communicator, effectively conveying architecture strategies and decisions to stakeholders at all levels. Act as a liaison between local and global architecture teams.

Skills

  • Proficiency in architecture tools, frameworks, and technologies, such as Sparx, Power Designer, Collibra.
  • Strong knowledge of data management principles, data standards, and regulatory requirements. Ideally with experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends. With experience either across front office Business Divisions or Risk, Finance, and Treasury systems within Financial Services.
