Role Overview:

The Data Analytics Lead is pivotal in shaping and implementing the data strategy for the business unit. This role is responsible for developing a comprehensive roadmap for the reporting strategy, ensuring the delivery of insightful business analytics through meticulous data gathering, cleaning, transformation, and analysis.

This role will play a critical role in creating standardized reports, dashboards, and facilitating self-service access to essential business information, empowering partners with actionable insights while ensuring we have a robust financial model to support growth and efficient programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a roadmap for the business unit's reporting and analytics strategy, aligning with organizational goals.

  • Provide in-depth business insights through comprehensive data analysis, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

  • Lead the development of standardized reports and interactive dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making across the business.

  • Lead all aspects of data analysis projects, ensuring high-quality results that meet business requirements.

  • Develop robust data models and analytical frameworks to support key business insights and initiatives.

  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of best practices in data analysis and encouraging professional growth.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to capture requirements, identify data sources, and ensure the effective implementation of analytics solutions.

  • Apply financial acumen to assist with unit costing and manage financial Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs) within the analytics projects.

  • Leverage technical expertise to support the integration and use of advanced analytics tools and technologies.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Demonstrable experience in data analytics, with a strong track record of defining and implementing data strategies and reporting solutions.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar, and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

  • Good understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.

  • Experience in financial analysis, particularly in unit costing and managing financial FTEs.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to translate complex data sets into actionable insights.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding a team of analysts.

  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with collaborators at all levels.

  • Technical knowledge of current data technologies and trends to implement them effectively in a business environment.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in business analytics.

  • Certification in data analytics or related fields (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, Google Data Analytics Certificate).

  • Experience working in an Agile environment, using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Salary range is expected to be between

$75,880.00 CAD - $140,920.00 CAD
