THE ROLE:
 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an MDM Analyst to grow their career within the Master Data Management team in Financial Reporting at PETRONAS Canada. We are searching for an MDM Analyst to join our team in Calgary. Reporting to the Team Lead, Master Data Management, the successful candidate will play a key role in advancing our master data initiatives in SAP.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Lead discussions with business stakeholders on WBS Design, Project TECO and Project close

  • Review, support, and maintain WBS elements in SAP S4 Hana

  • Drive business adoption and effective utilization of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) through training and best practice implementation

  • Oversee cost center set-up and maintenance in SAP

  • Assist with NOAs, amalgamations, and A&D activity

  • Collaborate with the business to coordinate, maintain, and update allocations and hierarchies in SAP

  • Execute month end processes including allocations, overhead, and cutback

  • Perform ongoing reviews and maintenance of Joint Ventures and Joint Operating Agreements

  • Monitor master data quality to identify and resolve anomalies

  • Support testing activities in SAP as required

  • Develop and enhance governance documentation related to MDM processes

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements across the MDM function, driving operational efficiency

  • Examine and maintain Business Partners and payment details

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • The successful candidate will possess a degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field, combined with 7+ years of master data and accounting experience in the oil and gas industry.

  • Excellent understanding of oil and gas operations and Joint Venture accounting

  • Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated ability to manage, analyze and coordinate large volumes of data

  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to engage business stakeholders on master data requirements, provide recommendations and implement solutions

  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles and data quality management practices.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
