Leidos Dig Mod Health IT division is seeking a Solution architect for a large network services opportunity supporting a Health Agency in Montgomery County, MD. In this role, you will help customers solve their more demanding challenges via emerging technologies and technical capabilities. As a Solution Architect, you will work with DigMod communities of practice and other subject matter experts to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions to optimize tasks on program. In addition to researching, designing and proposing proven solutions, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos technical solution, explain technical features and transformation strategies, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential problems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop reference architecture standards and designs, business process and data models for Network Services at NIH that meet NIH requirements and align with Federal and HHS policies, processes and models.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation and modernization across multiple network engineering groups, including cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, application and tools modernization.
- As part of a creative, forward-thinking team, you will help shape technical solutions related to IT automation, DWDM, AI/ML Cyber, data intelligence, cyber resiliency, and other exquisite technologies and drive insertions of technology into projects/proposals
- Leverage Leidos strategic partnerships, technical expertise to help drive technology innovation for improved operations.
- Communicate and collaborate with vendors, SMEs and stakeholders across technical domains to drive differentiation and innovation into a capture
- Work with the program teams, Business Area leadership, and CTO organization to identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve mission enterprise capabilities and broaden Leidos contributions in technical leadership resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer satisfaction.
- Perform research in support of new business strategies, including the development of technical solutions, basis of estimates, white papers, industry relationships
- Prior experience supporting technical whitepapers, proposals, or technical presentations
- Ability to conduct technical research into new technologies, evidence gathering to help shape solutions.
- Experience having worked successful partnerships with suppliers on proposals
- Conduct technical, system, user interface, and information architecture design.
- Develop, test, and implement new and/or improved capabilities to meet the needs for network services.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to iteratively deliver high-quality solutions; this includes knowledge of Scrum roles, time-boxes, ceremonies, and artifacts.
- Evaluating business needs and requirements to identify appropriate solutions.
- Employing practices to improve collaboration between development and operations teams; this includes continuous integration and delivery, automation, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.
- Designing and overseeing implementation of technical solutions to solve specific business problems or needs.
- Creating comprehensive technical solutions that address business needs or optimize processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain
- Experience as a technical engineer on government contracts or related work in NIH Customer space.
- Awareness of leading technology capability providers that enhance our technical solutions
- Experience articulating complex technical concepts to customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executives, both orally and in writing
- US citizen with an active Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical experience working with technologies in Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Introduction of new service that requires a solution not previously architected such as new multi-Cloud connectivity architecture or Zero Trust Network Architecture.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
