Your foremost objectives will be to provide help desk support for Biograph’s bi-coastal hybrid workforce—both on-site for our clinical staff in NYC, and remotely for our clinical staff in San Mateo—and to ensure that Biograph NY has 100% uptime during business hours. As an early member of the IT team, you'll also have numerous opportunities to work on projects across the entire IT spectrum, help define best practices, introduce new tools, and shape the future of IT at Biograph.
Success will require a careful blend of technical expertise, soft skills, and resiliency. The best candidates will possess a strong sense of ownership, and effortlessly provide authentic, high-touch customer service. They will also have curiosity, grit, and a genuine passion for computers and technology.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own Biograph’s IT Help Desk. Resolve all help desk requests–with assistance from the Head of IT, as necessary–and enhance help desk UX and capability by implementing new tools/processes.
- Administer and troubleshoot IT infrastructure including, fully redundant network stacks, on-prem servers, clinical computers/devices, access control, security cameras, and A/V systems.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of issues/solutions and contribute to IT’s knowledge base.
- Onboard/offboard employees and provision new hardware; administer onboarding flows and configurations in Okta and Kandji; perform (or automate) periodic access reviews.
- Maintain IT asset management database, inventory physical devices, and track subscriptions.
- Administer IT-owned applications and systems, including Okta, Google Workspace, Kandji, Meraki, Crowdstrike, Slack, 1Password, Zoom, KnowBe4, Aircall, Verkada, and Active Directory.
- Lead and contribute to various IT-related projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new IT solutions.
- Conduct research and evaluate new vendors and technologies.
- Automate repetitive workflows with scripts and automation tools.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- 5+ years of IT experience or equivalent.
- Take pride in exceptional customer service, and the seamless resolution of a challenging ticket.
- Creative problem solver and expert troubleshooter.
- Relish a novel challenge, and enjoy figuring shit out.
- Highly organized, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excited to grow with a fast-moving company and contribute to the evolution of a small IT team.
- Deeply knowledgeable about MacOS and Windows.
- Mastery of basic networking, and experience troubleshooting network or connectivity issues.
- Strong collaborative skills and clear, proactive communication.
- Self motivated and capable of working independently.
- This is a hybrid role based in New York City. Team members typically work in our Manhattan office 3-5 days a week, with empathetic flexibility.
EXCEPTIONAL LOOKS LIKE
- Experience with support ticketing tools such as Jira and Linear.
- Proficiency in administering Okta, Google Workspace, Kandji, Apple Business Manager, Crowdstrike, Slack, 1Password, Zoom Rooms, KnowBe4, Aircall, Active Directory, and Verkada.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Hyper-V, Linux.
- Meraki administration experience. Knowledge of Cisco AnyConnect, networking, ZTNA.
- Workflow automation or basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Make.com, Zapier).
- Project management certifications and/or experience leading projects.
- Previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment or working with HIPAA protected data.
