We’re looking for Software Engineers and Associate Software Engineers to join the Al Platform Core Components team. The AI Platform team helps power Red Hat's enterprise Al products, like RHEL Al and OpenShift Al, through our high-performing and secure Al-building platform. This role offers opportunities to work on critical components of our AI platform, with a focus on the deep integration of the AI stack with hardware accelerators from leading vendors.

Ideally, applicants should be located in the Boston, MA or Raleigh, NC area. However, we are open to considering candidates for remote work opportunities, depending on the specific role and required technical skills.

What you will do

• Contribute to the development and implementation of software for RHEL AI to leverage the power of hardware accelerators

• Contribute to packaging and distribution efforts, including converting Python wheels to RPMs

• Contribute to product quality for our product set by looking to continuously improve process and coding standards 

• Work closely with teams within AI Engineering, where collaboration opportunities present themselves

• Learn and help implement the architectural concepts that are key to the development of our product set

What you will bring

• 2+ years of experience as a software developer, software engineer, or similar roles

• Experience in developing applications in Go or Python

• Experience in Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or other cloud-native technologies

• Experience in PyTorch 

• Experience in agile development, CI/CD, Jira, and Git 

• Ability to quickly learn and use new tools and technologies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with package management and distribution, including converting Python wheels to RPMs, is a plus

The salary range for this position is $86,640.00 - $173,800.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
