This role is part of Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE), supporting Blue Origin’s mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. The team fosters innovation and drives engineering workflows of the future, shared solutions and standards, simplicity and lower costs, and manufacturable design.

We are seeking brilliant minds to join the GenESIS team and develop cutting-edge AI tools and solutions for safety and mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create AI-driven tools and automation solutions to revolutionize the engineering development lifecycle for spacecraft and ground systems.
  • Launch groundbreaking projects, actively participate in software architecture, and become a pivotal contributor to our software solutions, from concept to deployment.
  • Contribute to the development of rigorous testing and verification methodologies for AI in safety and mission-critical applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into our software development ecosystem.
  • Work on projects that directly impact space exploration safety and explore new frontiers in the application of AI in safety and mission-critical applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in an engineering discipline or computer science with a focus in artificial intelligence, generative AI, neural networks, ML/DL.
  • 2+ years of experience in a related industry and utilizing generative AI techniques
  • Experience with AI frameworks and tools (e.g., Langchain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, LLMs).
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Passion for space exploration and commitment to safety in innovative technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in embedded C/C++ development
  • Experience working in VSCode, Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with cloud services and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc).
  • Experience building GenAI solutions utilizing prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation, fine tuning.
  • Familiarity with software development in agile and scrum environments.
  • Understanding of software development for safety-critical systems (a plus).


 

Compensation Range for:

CA applicants is $121,323.00-$169,852.20;CO applicants is $111,213.00-$155,697.15;WA applicants is $121,323.00-$169,852.20
