What we are looking for: 

  • Help to query and organise client portfolio data sets, so the team can build a comprehensive analysis of counterparty Risk across all Invesco portfolios

  • Monitor counterparty exposure in accordance with the global counterparty risk framework and help in the remediation of threshold breaches

  • Help in the on-going maintenance and awareness of the counterparty credit quality

  • Collaborate with the Technology team to ensure data integrity and to enhance data coverage

  • Contribute to building and maintaining a more robust Counterparty Risk infrastructure.  This is a process of constant refinement, because the industry is forever evolving (i.e.- regulatory landscape, Invesco’s data environment, Invesco’s universe of client mandates)

  • Collaborate with the senior leaders within the Investment Risk team, as well as teams like Trading, Technology and Legal/Compliance

  • Provide support to the relevant committees and stakeholders via production of timely and informative management information

What you can bring: 

  • Familiarity with counterparty risk management, including risk measurement, credit metrics and implementation of counterparty risk mitigation techniques

  • Experience in process improvement projects which involve collaboration with internal stakeholders (investment teams, trading, and support functions).

  • Experience in report building and data manipulation techniques

  • Familiarity with complex financial instruments, such as derivatives

  • Familiarity with counterparty exposure calculation methodologies

  • Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, Python, Power BI, Excel and Bloomberg is a plus

  • Familiarity with risk mitigation techniques, exposure netting arrangements and/or collateral management is a plus

  • Familiarity with rating agencies is a plus

  • Degree in a Quantitative or Finance-related subject such as Investment Management, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics or Engineering

  • Entrepreneurial mindset – curiosity, initiative and ownership

  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure

  • Problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to conduct complex analysis

  • Strong organisational skills and detail orientation

  • Open minded, flexible, and willing to listen for other people’s opinions

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels an organisation and to help drive stakeholder involvement
