Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. 

  • Estimated annual base pay: $148,000 (minimum) - $185,000 (midpoint) - $222,000 (maximum)

 Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Data Governance professional, we have an exciting opportunity for you.  We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Governance Owner to join our team, focusing on ERP systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and compliance of data across ERP platforms while driving best practices for data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data stewards to establish and maintain governance frameworks that support organizational goals.

What You Will Be Doing 

  •  Data Governance Framework Development:
    • Design and implement data governance strategies, policies, and standards for ERP data.
    • Define roles, responsibilities, and accountability for data governance processes.
    • Develop metrics to measure data quality and governance effectiveness.
  • Data Quality Management:
    • Establish processes to monitor and improve data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and timeliness within ERP systems.
    • Collaborate with data owners to resolve data quality issues and enforce data validation rules.
    • Perform regular audits and root cause analysis to identify and address data discrepancies.
  • Master Data Management (MDM):
    • Oversee master data creation, maintenance, and governance for key ERP objects (e.g., material master, vendor master, customer master).
    • Ensure alignment of master data across ERP modules and integrated systems.
    • Develop workflows for master data approval and change management.
  • Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure ERP data compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX) and industry standards.
    • Implement controls to safeguard sensitive data and manage access permissions.
    • Develops policies and procedures to ensure appropriate access rules are in place and access groups are defined and maintained

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with business units to understand data needs and define governance requirements.
    • Partner with ERP functional and technical teams to implement data governance solutions.
    • Provide training and communication to stakeholders on governance practices and tools.
  • Technology Enablement:
    • Leverage ERP tools (e.g., ERP Information Steward, ERP Data Services, ERP MDG) to support data governance objectives.
    • Evaluate and recommend new tools or technologies to enhance data governance capabilities.
    • Participate in ERP system upgrades, migrations, and integrations from a data governance perspective.

What We Are Looking For 

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality management, or master data management within ERP environments.
    • Demonstrated project experience designing and implementing data governance initiatives in a management role
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP MDG, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of data management concepts, data governance frameworks, and data quality principles
    • Proficiency in data profiling and data analysis techniques using tools like SQL, Excel, or data profiling software
    • Familiarity with metadata management and data dictionary tools
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data quality issues
    • Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate technical standards, practices, and initiatives to drive data governance throughout the organization
    • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • ERP Certified Application Associate – ERP Master Data Governance.
    • Certifications in data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA Certified Data Management Professional).
