Job Overview:

InVitro Capital is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Engineering Manager with expertise in Cloud Solutions, AI, Python, and Backend Solution Design to lead our engineering team. You will play a pivotal part in developing cutting-edge software solutions, leveraging cloud technologies, and implementing AI best practices. You will guide your team of engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects while shaping the technical direction of our innovative ventures. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Pacific Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prompt Engineering & Optimization: Design, refine, and maintain prompts, system messages, and few-shot examples to maximize LLM accuracy, tone consistency, and output safety.
• LLM Evaluation & Testing: Conduct A/B tests and automated evaluations to track key metrics such as relevance, factuality, and response latency across models and use cases.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to embed prompt logic into production systems and user-facing features.
• Prompt Library Management: Develop and maintain a centralized prompt library with documented best practices for reuse, scalability, and cross-product consistency.
• LLM Research Application: Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in LLM prompting, safety guidelines, and tuning techniques to apply cutting-edge methods in production.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in AI solution engineering with a strong focus on prompting and client-facing collaboration.
• Language Proficiency: Demonstrate native or near-native English fluency, with strong sensitivity to tone, clarity, and nuance in language model outputs.
• LLM Prompting Experience: Hands-on experience crafting and optimizing prompts for models like GPT-4/4o, Claude, Gemini, or LLaMA 3 in real-world applications.
• NLP & Evaluation Fundamentals: Strong understanding of core NLP concepts and practical methods for evaluating model relevance, accuracy, and performance.
• Python Proficiency: Skilled in using Python for fast prototyping, data analysis, and experimentation with language models and prompt workflows.
• Effective Communication: Ability to clearly explain prompt strategies, model behaviours, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• RAG & Tool Use Integration (Would be a plus): Familiar with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and frameworks for tool calling, search augmentation, or dynamic context injection.
• LLM Safety & Guardrails(Would be a plus): Knowledge of prompt-based guardrails, red teaming techniques, and best practices for ensuring safe, reliable, and ethical model behaviour.
