Senior Analytics Engineer

Location requirements:Remote Based. Open to candidates in the Eastern US.
About the Role:At BigPanda, you'll help shape a modern, scalable data foundation that powers decision-making across the organization. You'll design efficient data models and architecture, build reliable analytical datasets in collaboration with data engineers and analysts, and enable self-service analytics by documenting core metrics and data sources. As a data advocate, you'll foster trust and understanding by clearly communicating technical insights to non-technical stakeholders. With deep expertise in SQL, modern data warehouses like Snowflake, and ETL tools such as dbt and Fivetran, you'll also explore emerging technologies and AI integrations to drive automation and continuous improvement in analytics engineering.
What you will do:

• Data Modeling and Architecture: Design and implement scalable data models and architecture to support efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of large datasets.
• Data Strategy and Quality: Collaborate with data platform engineers and analytics team members to build robust analytical datasets, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and clarity.
• Building Trust in Business Data: Act as a data advocate, advising and educating stakeholders to enhance data literacy and foster a culture of informed decision-making.
• Empower teams to self-serve: Drive self-service analytics by identifying and documenting the data sources, metrics, and resources stakeholders need to explore and analyze data independently.
• Technical Communication: Communicate technical findings and insights to non-technical partners clearly and understandably.
• Eye for the Future: Motivated to explore new tools and processes to improve self-service and automation; deep interests and understanding of AI integration in data a plus.

 What skills and experience you’ll bring to BigPanda:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a similar field, with a demonstrated ability to design and implement complex data solutions.
• Expertise in SQL, with proficiency in working with modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
• Hands-on experience with modern analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) for reporting and data visualization.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions and modern ETL tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake).
• Strong understanding of development best practices, including engineering standards, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
• Effectively lead communication efforts within analytics engineering projects, ensuring that team members are informed and aligned.

 Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $150,000 - $165,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and locationBigPanda offers a generous total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, equity, and a world-class benefits program.
