About the opportunity 

Join our Education vertical as a Marketing Manager, Growth Marketing in Melbourne to make a real impact every day. Reporting into the VP of Marketing, you are responsible for driving inbound leads to the Xplor Education and Discover sales teams, including user acquisition, engagement, and new business strategies for our Australia, New Zealand and UK prospect lists. This is a hands-on role, where you will leverage data-driven insights to create and optimise marketing campaigns and implement innovative strategies to consistently deliver qualified MQLs at scale.  

You will be responsible for managing two remote contractors (designer and copywriter) and working closely with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, customer success (account management) and training, to drive measurable results. A love of storytelling and knowing how to convey those stories through all marketing channels is a must.   

This role also provides a broad range of opportunities for execution and delivery within several facets of marketing. An all-around knowledge of marketing is critical to success and can provide opportunities for advancement within a global SAAS organisation.   

Some of the other responsibilities include: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth marketing strategy to meet monthly and quarterly MQL and SQL targets, using a combination of performance and organic marketing efforts. 
  • Collaborate with internal performance marketing experts and Sales Development Representatives to identify and prioritize growth opportunities across the New Business funnel. 
  • Support Sales leadership in developing commercial partnerships and work on campaigns for these partnerships as needed. 
  • Design, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns, including paid search, social media, content marketing, email, and affiliate marketing. 
  • Work with a specialist internal team to launch the new Xplor Education marketing website, oversee all subsequent marketing landing page development, and develop A/B testing strategies to improve conversion rates. 
  • Manage and align marketing resources, including offshore contractors, and work closely with the Communications and Engagement Lead to incorporate lead generation strategies into industry events and webinars. 
  • Deliver campaigns within the prescribed budget, conduct regular reviews with Finance and Commercial leadership, and ensure timely processing of expense receipts through Xplor’s expense reporting tools. 

For this position, we offer a hybrid and flexible working model, where you will spend 2-3 days per week in the office and the rest working from home. 

Qualifications

What would make me a good candidate? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field (master’s highly regarded).  
  • 5+ years in growth marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role, preferably in a SaaS environment.  
  • 3+ years in Google Ads, Meta Advertising, and Organic social media. 
  • 3+ years in SalesForce and Pardot. 
  • 2+ years in Channel/Affiliate/Partner Marketing. 
  • Proven track record of developing and scaling successful growth strategies.  
  • Agency experience a plus. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI, Excel).  
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce and Pardot). 
  • Expertise in paid media platforms (e.g., Google Ads, MetaAds, LinkedIn Ads).  
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.  
  • Ability to prioritize projects effectively to achieve the best impact.
