The Insight Analyst works alongside their Insight Business Partner to deliver diagnostic and informative insights to their business stakeholders (Marketing, Customer Experience, Product, Menu, Operations). Championing customers, Nandocas and supporting leadership teams to drive like for like volume growth, improve customer service, Nandoca experience, develop menu innovation and help achieve operational efficiencies.  

Key responsibilities and expectations: 

  • Business partner: Partner with all areas of the business to provide subject matter expertise in analytics, insight, and success measurement, including the coordination of all required projects 
  • Insights Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise in research, insight, and success measurement, including the coordination of all required research projects. 
  • Customer curiosity: Ensure the customer remains at the heart of decision-making, remaining close to the detail to understand customer attitudes and behaviour. 
  • Be a storyteller: Able to present the outputs of your work in a visually engaging and compelling way that encourages appropriate action.  
  • Restless enthusiasm: Work with other Insight & Analytics team members to develop methodologies and techniques that establishes a greater insight capability across the business. 
  • Finger on the pulse: Manage a suite of Insight reports and analysis covering all aspects of customer, competitor, consumer, cultural and societal trends, and influences. 
  • Collaboration: with functional teams to identify, diagnose, develop and deliver opportunities to improve sales, customer service, Nandoca experience, new products, menu innovation and operational efficiencies. 

The Insight Analyst will be responsible for:  

  • Leading the delivery of comprehensive insights and analysis to answer critical business questions and presenting the results in a clear, concise, and actionable way that will drive sales and innovation. 
  • Developing and evolving the organisations deep understanding of customer preferences, behaviours, and needs through qualitative and quantitative research to influence marketing strategies, improve our products (menu) and enhance the customer experience. 
  • Implement regular competitor analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and recommend strategies and actions to enable Nando’s to compete and win sales / market share. 
  • Design and deliver research to improve the experience of working at Nando’s and the wider world of work, inside and outside of the hospitality sector to significantly improve the recruitment, retention and reward of Nandocas.  
  • Producing periodic reviews for your business stakeholders which will highlight opportunities, evaluate the success of our activity, and make recommendations around optimisation and growth opportunities. 
  • Identify and establish strong partnerships with research agencies, negotiate contracts, service level agreements and set the approved financial parameters for each project. 

The candidate should possess / be:  

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Insight-based roles, with a naturally curious nature and desire to problem solve 
  • Passionate about helping to understand ‘why’, with analytical expertise, across large/multiple data sets.  
  • Have a natural written and verbal presenting style that brings stories to life with confidence and assurance that influences and inspires audiences from Board level to restaurant teams. 
  • Experience in managing agencies and managing research projects end-to-end. 
  • Open-minded & collaborative, with sound judgment and a creative edge. 
  • Able to manage own time and operate without close supervision. 
  • Curious and proactive with a strong desire to deliver results. 
  • Naturally calm under pressure, able to distinguish the critical from the noise. 
  • Organised and be able to manage several different projects at once. 
  • Outcome-orientated and commercial.  
  • A strong communicator, willing and able to listen, understand and influence accordingly. 
  • A natural people person: empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and able to connect with and influence a wide variety of stakeholders.

This hybrid role will be required to be in our Putney office 3+ days a week.
