We are seeking an experieced and strategic

Data Architect

to join Ponsse Group Digital Services&IT Team

Are you eager to take comprehensive responsibility for building innovative data architectures that fuel organizational success?

In this role, you will oversee the development of complex, enterprise-scale data solutions, setting and evolving the technical vision for data product teams to align with broader business goals. You will drive the definition and implementation of best practices, standards, and cutting-edge innovations across the data landscape. In this role, you will translate critical business needs into resilient, scalable data architectures — designing seamless data ingestion frameworks, robust pipelines, high-performance warehousing solutions, and efficient data publication models — ensuring that the organization’s data ecosystem is positioned for future growth, agility, and competitive advantage. You will design, implement, and optimize a scalable, secure, and resilient data platform encompassing ingestion, processing, storage, and distribution. You will translate complex business requirements into well-architected data solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

You will establish data standards, policies, and best practices across the organization, including data modeling, metadata management, security, and compliance. You will evaluate and select appropriate data technologies, tools, and platforms, making strategic recommendations for build vs. buy decisions. You will collaborate closely with business, product, engineering, analytics, and operations teams to integrate data architecture into broader digital initiatives. Additionally, you will mentor and guide data engineers, data scientists, and other technical team members in best practices around data design and management.

Key requirements:

• Several years of experience and proven track record of developing data architecture strategy in alignment with organizational goals and evolving business needs.

• Knowledge of technologies like Azure Data Factory, Agile Data Engine, Snowflake, Databricks

• Keen on agile methodologies​

• Excellent co-operation and communication skills​

• Experience on working with external partners​

• Solid English language skills, other language seen as benefit

You take ownership of your work, pay close attention to detail, and communicate clearly across both technical and business teams. Your adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies ensure that you continuously contribute to innovative and efficient data solutions.
