Job Description

Can you help improve the quality of your favourite toy?

Join us and help us develop AI based vision inspection tool to bring element inspection to the next level in the LEGO Group.

Core Responsibilities  

As an intern in the Operational Technology (OT) Department you will play an important role in investigating machine vision feasibility for our LEGO production.  

You will be a member of a team, where your contribution will be to: 

  • Analyze and asset situation to properly define the best solution structure. 

  • Investigate different vision hardware solution. 

  • Used available neural network and company machine solution to solve the feasibility study. 

  • Developed a proof of concept to solve the identified challenge 

Play your part in our team succeeding 

You will be joining our machine vision specialist within OT (Operational Technology) who are responsible for developing the machine vision solutions to improve our efficiency and the quality of our products. To do so, we have a roadmap of projects built with our stakeholders to target the most strategic areas while keeping in mind the impact/effort ratio. The team is built of machine vision and AI specialists selecting the hardware and developing the software to solve their challenges.  

As an intern, you will be asked to assess the feasibility of a defined project in its early stage and develop a proof of concept to solve it. You will have access to different vision equipment and high computing power. Furthermore, you get the chance to work with an international team, composed of experts in their fields, from which you can benefit and draw upon their guidance and support.

Do you have what it takes? 

  • You are currently enrolled in a Master program in Denmark 
  • You are pursuing a master’s degree focusing on Artificial Intelligence or Machine Vision. 
  • You are equipped with a proactive attitude and a team player mentality. You appreciate learning from others without being afraid to ask for help and get energized by supporting others.   
  • You have knowledge in Python, scripting and using API’s.  
  • You have knowledge of classical computer vision tasks (Blob detection, feature extraction, etc.) 
  • You have worked with ML and Deep learning before.
  • English at fluent level is required.
  • You are able to be at our Headquarters in Billund a minimum of three days a week from September to December.
