The Economics and Business Analytics Department in the College of Business at the University of New Haven invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant / Associate Professor level beginning in Fall of 2019. This position includes teaching, service, and research expectations along with a responsibility to take an active role in cooperatively developing and growing applied analytics opportunities across the programs in the College of Business.

We are seeking candidates with qualifications and teaching & research interests in applied business analytics fields such as Sport Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Accounting AI Analytics, and Hospitality Analytics. Candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing a PhD or DBA in Operations Management, Decision Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.  Strong applicants should be versatile, with an ability to teach a variety of courses in the analytics field. Candidates with proficiency in R, Python, SQL, and expertise in data/decision analytics, optimization, business modeling, data visualization, and data mining are especially encouraged to apply. Interest in yield management and pricing models is a plus.

The successful candidate for this position will be charged with working with faculty across the business disciplines to cooperatively develop curriculum, and co-curricular activities, to support a growing interest in applied business analytics.

A Ph.D. or DBA at the time of appointment is preferred, but ABD candidates will be considered.  We intend to process applications promptly this fall and schedule interviews expeditiously.

We will be reviewing applications on a rolling/continuing basis, and will likely be interviewing candidates of interest at the various national analytics / operations management meetings.
