The Data Warehouse and Lakehouse are critical platforms for the firm and are used across all departments to create business insights and are used in daily engagements to provide execution excellence for the firm’s clients.

The Data and Integration Engineer will be a key member of the Data Engineering team, reporting to the Data Architect. They will work closely with all aspects of the Technology team as well as all our internal stakeholders to ensure our data platform is built in a robust, consistent, and sustainable fashion.The Data and Integration Engineer will also be responsible for Application Integration Engineering, ensuring seamless integration between diverse SAAS systems and applications. Additionally the Data and Integration Engineer will provide engineering support in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions while enabling efficient communication between diverse software systems.

Core Responsibilities:

Data Engineering and Analysis:

  • Work with Product Owners to identify, analyze, and gather requirements
  • Utilize the Azure data stack to enhance the Data Warehouse and Lakehouse
  • Collect and integrate data from various sources, including SAAS application databases, APIs, and files
  • Perform data analysis and cleaning to remove errors, duplicates, and inconsistencies
  • Develop test cases to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of data for analytical workloads
  • Deploy and manage objects through existing change management processes
  • Independently manage own backlog of work and priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Application Integration Engineering:

  • Engineer integration solutions to connect diverse SAAS applications and data systems
  • Build monitoring solutions to provide alerts and real-time status for application integrations
  • Provide regular updates and maintenance on integration tools and platforms
  • Coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues
  • Utilize an integration platform such as Workato or MuleSoft for efficient system connectivity
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes and configurations

Job Specific Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Python, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Azure Data Lake Store, Spark SQL, Fabric
  • 3+ years of experience in NoSQL and Azure SQL DB or similar cloud database
  • 2+ years of experience in Application Integration roles utilizing an integration platform such as Workato or MuleSoft
  • Experience in ingesting csv and other text and non-structured data sources
  • Preferred: Experience in short release cycles and the full software lifecycle
  • Preferred: Experience in statistical modeling or machine learning approaches and tools
