Daikin Applied is seeking a talented Master Data Management Lead. The Master Data Management Lead will play a critical role in driving data governance, data quality, and master data management (MDM) initiatives, to ensure the integrity, consistency, and accessibility of key business data, establishing a single source of truth for critical data domains, including customer, product, and supplier data. You will lead and shape the future of our enterprise-wide master data initiatives and drive the organization’s data enablement by developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that will propel the organization to data driven business decision making. Location: Plymouth, MN – Hybrid or Remote

 

What you will do: 

  • Strategic Vision: Work with governance and data leadership to develop Daikin's enterprise-wide master data strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving competitive advantage
  • Master Data Governance: Oversee the establishment and maintenance of a robust master data management (MDM) framework to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
  • Solution Design and Development: Implement a comprehensive MDM solution design, manage and maintain the master data records, business glossary, and data dictionary, and coordinate with business stakeholders
  • Business Process Mapping: Work directly with stakeholders and functional SMEs to understand and map business processes to identify master data touchpoints, data collision potentials, and resolution processes
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Champion a data-centric culture, empowering business units to leverage data insights for strategic decision-making and operational excellence
  • Technology and Innovation: Stay on top of or ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, seeking and implementing cutting-edge solutions that enhance our data capabilities and drive innovation within the organization
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders across IT, business units, and external partners to ensure seamless integration of our master data strategy into key aspects of the enterprise
  • Talent Development: As necessary or called upon, build and mentor a high-performing team of data professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence
  • Regulatory Compliance: Support our compliance with global data regulations and standards, mitigating risks and protecting the organization’s data assets
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of master data initiatives, adoption, and effectiveness, driving continuous improvement and value creation

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree or experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related digital, analytical, or IT field
  • 6+ years of experience in data strategy, master data management, or related fields
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of data governance, master data management, data architecture, and analytics tools. Experience with cloud-based data platforms is a plus
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading and inspiring cross-functional teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business strategies, with a focus on driving business value
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Masters Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture or a related field, with a strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions
  • 6+ years of people leadership experience
  • Experience with Atlan, Monte Carlo, and Semarchy or other governance, quality, and MDM tool
  • Experience working in a global organization with diverse teams and a deep understanding of global data regulation
  • Passion for staying on the cutting edge of data technology and a relentless drive to push the boundaries of what’s possible

 

 

Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,000 - $188,000 (+ 20-25% bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
