Job Description:

The Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program will be reengineering

business processes, performing data interface/integration services, implementing a single,

integrated system, and leveraging commercial software to conduct transportation, financial, and logistical operations for approximately 36,000 users.

GDIT is seeking a Functional Analyst Sr. well skilled in leading technical functions for large, complex information technology systems.

HOW a Functional Analyst Sr. WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Align technology solutions with business objectives by providing analysis of current user code used to build new solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree in management information systems, Computer Science/Engineering or related field.

  • Required Experience:
    • 8 years of related experience

  • Preferred Skills:
    • Analyzes information from system users to develop strategic solutions that meet customer needs
    • Develop computer systems specifications that address business requirements and fit with company/customer system architecture standards
    • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats
    • Advises others on preparing flow charts, models, and procedures
    • Conducts feasibility studies to design possible system solutions
    • Advises others on form design and layout activities
    • Develop strategy for preparing systems specifications
    • Develops technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems
    • Designs and develops strategy for analysis and systems designs
    • Assists management in estimating the costs of system solutions and preparing project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources
    • May coach and provide guidance to less experienced professionals
    • May serve as a team or task lead

  • Security Clearance Level: Active DOD Secret

The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
