Position Overview

Do you thrive at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution?  Are you ready to influence how an entire organization plans, builds, and scales?

At Autodesk, we believe that great product organizations aren’t just built on creativity — they’re built on operational excellence. We’re looking for a Director of Product Operations who is passionate about unlocking the full potential of our platform product teams by building the connective tissue that ties strategy to execution, insight to action, and teams to each other.

Our investment in data-driven decision-making has strengthened the foundation of our product organization, but the next evolution demands more strategic, forward-looking product leadership. As AI, ML, and the exponential growth of data redefine how we deliver value, our greatest opportunity is to mature how we think, plan, and operate as a product organization. In this role, you will architect the systems, insights, and operating models that enable proactive, strategic product management at scale — empowering teams to align on the right priorities, make smarter decisions, and drive meaningful, measurable impact.

We’re looking for a bold, collaborative leader who thrives at both 30,000 feet and ground level — someone who sees patterns, solves complex problems, and creates environments where every team member can do their best work. If you’re a builder at heart, a strategic thinker, and someone who believes operations is a key enabler of innovation, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Strategy & Leadership: Develop and drive the overall product operations strategy, partnering closely with the Sr. Director and platform senior leadership at large

  • Strategic Planning: Drive the strategic planning process translating our vision into a clear product roadmap, aligning delivery with platform goals, and establishing feedback loops to ensure continuous improvement

  • Product Development Lifecycle Optimization & Process Excellence: Create frameworks, systems, and dashboards that make the product development lifecycle smoother, faster, and more transparent — from planning to delivery

  • Insight and Measurement: Establish scalable feedback loops with customers, sales, marketing, and support teams; build a system for delivering actionable insights back to product teams

  • Product Team Enablement: Create onboarding programs, training, tools, templates, and playbooks that empower product managers and cross-functional partners to move faster and smarter

  • Culture Building: Evangelize the product operations practice across platform. Foster an environment of operational excellence, continuous learning, and psychological safety within the product organization

  • Lead M&A integration: Lead a team driving our M&A practice for platform, running diligence through full integration. Looking for ways to continually improve the time to value of each deal

  • M&A Product Leadership: Provide product leadership in the M&A process to define how newly acquired companies gain value out of our platform systems, ensuring the full deal value is met

  • M&A Technical Guidance: Partner with engineering, and product teams to assess architectural fit, and define integration pathways, and ensure scalable adoption of platform services

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, program management, product management, or a related field within a technology company

  • 2+ years specifically in product operations

  • 3+ years in a leadership or people management role, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams

  • Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and how to support it operationally at scale

  • Demonstrated technical fluency and ability to partner with engineering teams to evaluate system architecture and ensure scalable adoption of platform services

  • Strong analytical mindset with experience building reporting frameworks and interpreting data to drive decisions

  • Exceptional skills in process design, optimization, and change management

  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization to drive timely decisions

  • Acts as a catalyst for others and is action-oriented and driven in high-growth, and ambiguous environments

  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Airtable, ProductBoard, Looker, PowerBI, or similar is a plus
