What you’ll do:
Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Client Services Data Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Newtown Square
Expected start date: September 2025
Duration: 6 - 12 months
Working hours: Part-time - Full-time ( 20 - 40 hrs./week)
The Data Engineering Center at SAP (DEC) is seeking an intern studying Data Science or a related field to join our team.
Within a strong governance model, our team handles data through integration and refining vast amounts of complex raw data from multiple sources into a unified, secure, reliable, and scalable cloud-based repository. This repository enables actionable insights through various distribution channels to our requestors.
You will be working primarily in an IT landscape to handle data between different sources and deliver the results to the requests in various formats, to help solve problems, deliver insights, and reports
You will face various challenges with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), such as connecting to data sources, massaging the data on imports, writing queries, scripts, code, and generating reports.
In addition, you will have to adhere to our governance framework and other regulations, especially when there is PII (Personally Identifiable Information) being requested.

School Requirements
- Education: Working to gain a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science or a related field
- Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
- Must have completed at least one semester at school
Soft Skills
- Must have a desire to learn how data engineering works
- Given the tools and documentation necessary for it, they must have the desire to research to find solutions
- Must have a desire to investigate, understand, and explain new technologies and tools
- Must be comfortable with online meetings (Teams) and be able to explain topics clearly

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15-62 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
