Job Description

 

Your Opportunity 

We’re looking for a Data Governance Senior Analyst to join our Tech Risk & Governance team.

In this role, you’ll leverage your technical skills to develop, maintain, and support innovative solutions that solve real-world challenges in the payments industry. From designing and building scalable systems to ensuring seamless integration with key technologies, your work will directly impact millions of users. 

You’ll also make an impact by: 

  • Execute Data and Data Risk Management Roadmap, Workplan: Lead the execution of Data and Data Risk Management Roadmap, Work Plan to implement data management principles.
     
  • Embed Risk Practices and Mindset: Collaborating with product domains and corporate functions to embed data risk management principles and minimum requirements into day-to-day business activities.
     
  • Risk Reporting and Analytics: Prepare regular updates for review highlighting key risk areas and recommendations, for reporting at Data Governance Committee (DGC), Technology Risk Committee, Enterprise Risk Committee.
     
  • Line 1 Risk: Perform 1LoD data risk management supporting teams with risk identification, assessment, incident and issue management, controls implementation and vendor risk assessment.
     
  • Operationalise the Data Operating Model: Act as change champion and SME for Data Owners and Data Stewards.
     
  • Custodian of Data Governance Tool: Support the rollout and adoption of the tool to product domains and corporate functions. 
     
  • Vendor Data Risk Assessments: Reviewing Data Governance questionnaire as part of Vendor Risk Assessment to ensure all risks related to procuring a new tool/solution and or introduction of new features in existing tool/solution are appropriately assessed and mitigated.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring 

To succeed in this role, you’ll have: 

  • Financial Services Experience: 3-5 years of experience in data risk management and data governance. (can consider highly regulated or critical services industry like Healthcare and Telco).
  • Risk Frameworks: Strong knowledge of data capability management frameworks such as DAMA / EDM’s Data Management Capability Assessment Model and APRA Prudential requirements (CPS234, CPG235. CPS230, CPS220, etc.). 
     
  • Three Line of Defence Model Experience: Worked across 1st line, second line and third line in data risk management.

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following: 

  • Proven Change Leader: Prior experience establishing, embedding and uplifting data risk management maturity and practices within a function, risk class or organisation.
     
  • Relevant Data Governance Tools: Experience using Alation Data Governance Catalogue and or any equivalent tools such as Collibra.
