Our IT R&D organization constantly establishes new technology to help R&D Tires design and develop the best-performing and most sustainable tires on the market. Naturally, we work in close partnership with the Tire Research and Development team to ensure the solutions we build help the Tire team be the most efficient and effective it can be.

You will be part of a versatile team of data and analytics specialists that provides IT solutions to ensure and accelerate Continental’s internal digitalization. Contribute to our goals for reliable data solutions, based on excellent data integrity, availability, and quality through your support with operating and maintaining our modern, cloud-based data analytics landscape.

In this exciting job, you will work on the following tasks:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing flows
  • Support the development of new predictive models, establish automated AI/ML pipelines, and streamline the model lifecycle from training and validation to deployment
  • Industrialize, further develop, and operate data and machine learning solutions to integrate them into Tire R&D processes and services
  • Collaborate closely with Tire R&D experts and data scientists to understand business challenges and translate them into technical requirements

Your Profile

  • Academic degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or related studies
  • Advanced knowledge of data warehouses, data-driven use cases, and applications
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with advanced skills in database technologies
  • Familiarity with relevant machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes or tools (e.g., Matillion, KNIME, Talend)
  • Experience with DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle
  • Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to work independently
  • Solution-oriented thinking

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in computer science, engineering, data science or related studies
  • Several years of work experience in the field
  • Proven experience in the end-to-end lifecycle management of machine learning models, encompassing development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, R is a plus
  • Familiar with relevant machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Pytorch, scikit-learn, pandas)
  • Experience with DevOps principles, agile methodologies and software development lifecycle
  • Experiences with MLOps tools and frameworks are a plus
  • Experiences with AWS or Azure, infrastructure-as-code and automation solutions are a plus
  • Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to work independently
  • Solution-oriented thinking

Additional Information

Initial salary depends on experience and skills of the candidate:

Experienced candidate: TT11: 2 719€+ variable part

Fresh graduate: TT10: 2 450€ + variable part

Salary increase within the knowledge and experience gained to more than 3 000 € / monthly average.
