Job Responsibilities:

• Support on strategic and tactical initiatives and collaboration amongst Business units and Support units
• Prepare data and reports and interpret MI to support business decisions concerning strategy, project management, risks and opportunities
• Utilize advanced analytics, machine learning and AI techniques to develop solutions to optimize customer segmentation, scenario tuning, automatic regression test, etc.
• Drive and lead regular model validation of the bank AML/CFT systems (i.e. transactions monitoring systems, sanctions screening systems and fraud systems, etc.) for all locations (i.e. HK/SG/MO/LA/NY, etc.)
• Drive and lead regular threshold tuning, algorithms and rules review, effectiveness and efficiency assessment of the bank AML/CFT systems (i.e. transactions monitoring systems, sanctions screening systems and fraud systems, etc.) for all locations (i.e. HK/SG/MO/LA/NY, etc.)
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert, trainer, and advocate to elevate the machine learning expertise and culture within the team
• Perform data analytics through Apahce Hadoop / Spark / Hive
• Conduct interactive and shareable dashboards through Tableau
• Deliver documentations with banking standard
• Perform other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree / Master holder in quantitative field such as data science, computer science, statistics, or a related discipline
• 6-8 years’ working experience in banking industry, preferably minimum 3 years’ experience in data science, with a proven track record of developing and executing large-scale analytics projects in the Financial Services Industry
• Extensive experience in leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques/algorithms, combined with industry knowledge, to improve business strategies
• Proficient in programming languages like Python, R, or SAS, and experienced in working with data analysis, machine learning, AI, etc.
• Well versed of Compliance and related regulations, guidelines and practices, especially AML
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
