Timescale
Engineered to handle demanding workloads, like time series, vector, events, and analytics data. Built on PostgreSQL, with expert support at no extra charge. At Timescale, we empower businesses with real-time insights from their data, allowing them to make faster decisions and optimize operations. We are creating a movement to unblock developers who are building the future. Timescale is a product-led growth organization driven by transparent leaders and a globally diverse, remote-first team that is proudly building a modern PostgreSQL cloud platform.
As a Sales Operations Lead at Timescale đŻ, youâll help architect the future of our go-to-market motion, partnering closely with Sales Leadership, Revenue Operations, and the CRO to shape strategy, drive execution, and maximize impact.
This isnât a role where you manage dashboards or admin tools. Weâre looking for a strategic operator: someone who thrives in high-growth environments and understands the nuance of Product-Led Growth (PLG) and consumption-based models. Youâll sit at the heart of the sales team, translating data into action, strategy into process, and blockers into momentum.
Reporting to our Head of Revenue Operations and working hand-in-hand with our GTM leaders, this is a key role in ensuring our sales team scales intelligently, efficiently, and with purpose.
đ This role is remote. Due to the team's location, we are open to candidates in North American time zones, ideally the East Coast. Fluency in English is required.
What you will be responsible for in this role:
Partnering with Sales Leadership and the CRO to define and drive sales strategy, including segmentation, coverage, compensation design, pipeline development, and forecast processes.
Serving as the connective tissue across GTM, ensuring strategic alignment between PLG-led inbound motion, outbound sales efforts, and our new partnership motion.Â
Driving operational rigor and accountability in weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales rhythms (e.g., forecast reviews, QBRs, pipeline health checks).
Collaborating with Business Insights to interpret data and performance trends, then translating that into tactical improvements and strategic bets.
Supporting capacity planning, quota setting, territory models, and other foundational operational frameworks.
Working closely with our RevOps, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure cross-functional coordination around growth priorities.
Acting as a strategic thought partner to the CRO on everything from sales efficiency to revenue levers to headcount planning.
Apply emerging AI technologies to optimize processes and expand your capacity for high-leverage work.Â
You could be a great fit if you:
Have 6+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Strategic GTM roles in high-growth SaaS environments.
Have hands-on experience with PLG motions and consumption-based business models, you understand how these impact pipeline, forecasting, and rep behavior.
Are an expert in Excel and BI platforms to drive business insights, with a strong understanding of SQL to support data analysis and automation.
Are a strategic partner to Sales, not just a support function. You love crafting the plan and ensuring it's executed.
Know what great sales fundamentals look like and arenât afraid to introduce new ideas or challenge existing assumptions.
Thrive in cross-functional roles and are just as comfortable in the weeds with a Sales Manager as you are presenting to the CRO.
Have a strong grasp of Salesforce and GTM metrics (ARR, win rate, pipeline coverage, CAC payback, etc.), and know how to use insights to influence outcomes.
Bring excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a drive to make things better, always.
Believe that organizations are strongest when they reflect the diversity of the world around them, and you actively work to make that a reality.
You might not be a great fit if:
Youâve never worked in a PLG or usage-based business before.
You prefer to operate as a systems adminâthis role is strategic and focused on partnering, not managing tools.
Youâre not comfortable pushing back on senior stakeholders or leading conversations around trade-offs and priorities.
You need a rigid structure and clearly defined responsibilities to do your best work.
Youâre more interested in reporting than in driving strategy and execution across teams.
This is an opportunity to help shape the revenue engine of a company, rethinking whatâs possible with time-series databases. If youâre excited to blend data, strategy, and cross-functional leadership to unlock growth, we want to hear from you.
