Position Summary

Valiant Residential is looking for a Data Analyst Intern to support our IT/Business Intelligence Team. This 12-week long paid internship program is at our corporate office, located in Dallas, Texas. The Data Analyst Intern will build and test models to support the business, and will have direct contact with senior management and department leaders. The internship will accelerate your learning and development by providing you with a strong foundation upon which to build your career.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

•          In detail process and data research and discovery to understand data sources, processes, and integrations that cause data quality issues
•          Conduct data testing on integrations and analytics
•          Help with the automation of the form processing to drive efficiencies using Microsoft’s power platform.
•          Work closely with other department teams to understand how data is being reported and presented
•          Gather and put together data mappings for ETL & reporting development
•          Create, support, and maintain metrics/dashboards built on our BI platform
•          Create, support, and maintain SQL code used for report automation

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

•          Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field of study.
•          SQL proficiency and ability to extract data from large data sources with differing structures is required
•          Knowledge of Python, Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate is preferred 
•          Ability to dedicate minimum 30 hours per week (we’re flexible around your class schedule)
•          Problem solving and communication skills
•          Ability to execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
•          Self-motivated, creative and disciplined
