As part of the MAD team (Medical Algos and Data) you will help harness all the potential of our data and use it for a variety of different purposes, from developing new algorithms to improve our product, to doing research in the underserved areas of women’s health.
What you will be doing
Drive research initiatives to both advance the scientific understanding of menstrual and reproductive health and to continuously assess and validate the performance of Natural Cycles as a medical device, working closely with academic partners and healthcare professionals (HCPs)
Develop and maintain algorithms that are central to the functionality of the Natural Cycles app — including those for cycle and fertility predictions, wearable sensor data integration, and personalized user experiences
Contribute to scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences and workshops
Perform data-driven analysis of user behavior to inform product development and enhance user engagement and outcomes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, medical, engineering, and PR) to translate research findings into user-facing features, product improvements, and public communication efforts that promote scientific literacy, support advocacy in women’s health, and build trust in the Natural Cycles brand
Stay up to date with relevant scientific literature and industry trends in digital health, women’s health, and machine learning applications
Engage with key external stakeholders, including academic collaborators, healthcare professionals (HCPs), and key opinion leaders (KOLs), to shape research direction and promote scientific impact
What skills and experience we think you have
PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a similarly quantitative field with a strong data analysis component
2+ years of professional experience in Data Science or related roles
Strong experience with machine learning techniques, including both supervised and unsupervised methods
Proficiency in programming for data analysis, especially with Python and common libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc. Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus
Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application in real-world data
Creative and pragmatic problem solver with the ability to focus on technical detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
Able to work independently and take full ownership of projects from start to finish
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Collaborative mindset and a strong team player

Location
We are remote-friendly, but we find great value in being able to connect with our teams in person. Most of the MAD team you will work with is located in Geneva.
