Computer Vision Engineer - MetaSim

Our MetaSim Real Data Acquisition team creates ground truth datasets for training and validation of Computer Vision / Machine Learning algorithms for Wearables and Mixed Reality. We collaborate across Reality Labs with the best engineers in the industry, innovating cutting edge technology and are enabling the future of Augmented Reality / Mixed Reality devices and experiences.

We are expanding our team charter to have an increased focus on data for Large Language Models for both spatial understanding, and Contextual AI for wearables. In this role we are looking for someone to bring CV/ML expertise to this space, enabling us to efficiently create training and validation data for LLMs about spatial and user contextual problems.Computer Vision Engineer - MetaSim Responsibilities

• Design new ML / CV solutions or bring existing ideas to production with scale, reliability, and performance in mind.
• Complete medium to large computer vision features spanning multiple tasks independently with limited guidance from engineering leads.
• Take ownership of the assigned codebase or identify and drive quality improvements as needed.
• Develop collaborative relationships with other engineers and researchers on the team and collaborate with cross functional and partner teams.
• Leverage a variety of CV/ML approaches as appropriate for the problem at hand - leverage and extend foundational multiple models, build efficient human in the loop solutions, etc

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
• Track record of delivering research into production, driving algorithmic changes towards on-device optimization
• Experience developing CV / ML algorithms

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Large Language / Vision Language Model data creation, tooling, and usage
• Experience with Augmented / Mixed / Virtual Reality development.
• Experience with 3D reconstruction including structure-from-motion, pose estimation, feature detection, and tracking.

$56.25/hour to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
