As a Product Data Scientist, you’ll be a key partner and collaborator to teams across Blue Light Card to support them with analytical insight. You'll ensure teams have an in-depth understanding of member and partner behaviour, putting actionable insight front of mind when making decisions and always pushing to use the most up to date techniques you can.

What You’ll Do

  • Discover and size new opportunities by generating hypotheses, designing and supporting experiments, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and iteration
  • Define and align key metrics in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across teams by partnering with engineers and developers
  • Build and maintain self-serve data tools and dashboards that provide quick access to core insights, empowering teams to make data-informed conclusions
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to support strategic initiatives, delivering clear recommendations that drive business and product improvements
  • Maintain the central knowledge base by documenting reports, insights, and metric definitions within the Insights Hub to promote transparency and shared understanding
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and close data or capability gaps, while sharing insights and fostering strong relationships across the business
  • Champion a unified data approach, ensuring consistent use of data sources and definitions, while staying current on analytics best practices and industry trends

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience working with data in an analytical fashion, preferably in a digitally native tech environment
  • Experience using analytical tools/languages, e.g., SQL, dbt, Python, R, as well as BI suites such as Lightdash, Looker, or Tableau
  • Ability to translate business problems into analytical tasks, drawing conclusions and communicating insights to a variety of stakeholders across all levels
  • Experience using data storytelling, including presentation skills and the ability to present a convincing, data-led argument for ideas to internal stakeholders and colleagues
  • Ability to manage your development alongside the senior analytics team, identifying opportunities to improve both yourself and the team in line with market trends
  • A willingness to be a self-starter, and a detail-oriented problem solver, with a strong curiosity to understand user behaviour
  • Team player that is both highly collaborative and individually capable
