The Sub-Chapter Instrument Design Verification is part of R&D Point of Care, which is also accountable for research and development activities on all systems of the BG/E (Blood Gas and Electrolytes) portfolio from Roche Diagnostics.
This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, on site with the potential to do some work from home office. An onsite presence of more than 60 percent of the working time is expected.
The opportunity
Program a robotic arm to carry out automated test procedures and communicate with a diagnostic analyzer
Write code scripts in Python to automatically test various system components of a diagnostic analyzer
Implement computer vision algorithms to optimize testing workflows
Document activities performed and share knowledge with testers and users of the setup
Contribute to verification activities as part of R&D Point of Care Instrument Design Verification projects
Execute and document test cases according to project-specific requirements
Collaborate with interdisciplinary development teams
Who You Are
You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of Robotics, Systems & Control, (Bio-)Medical or Electrical Engineering within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.
Furthermore you are
Fluent in spoken and written English, German is an advantage
A team-player and looking for an international, interdisciplinary team to develop your personal and professional skills
Technical details
The preferred start date for the internship is August or September 2025. Please state your preferred start date and the desired duration of the internship in your application.
The duration of the internship is between nine months and twelve months at maximum.
